A. G. Russell Knives Prepares For Grand Opening Knife Event August 3-4

On Saturday and Sunday, August 3 and 4, A. G. Russell Knives will hold a Grand Opening Knife Event to celebrate the opening of the new A. G. Russell Knives location. This will be an event unlike any held in this area.
Due to recent growth, A. G. Russell Knives has relocated to a 35,000 square foot location in Lowell off I-540 exit 81. Their new location has room for two more 10,000 square foot additions and houses 1,200 square feet of retail space with more than 5,000 factory and handmade knives in inventory.
The Knife Event will feature industry leaders, with founders and CEOs of the top knife companies from around the world attending, including Gerber Legendary Blades, Schrade Cutlery, Columbia River Knife & Tool, SOG Specialty Knives, and more. Events planned include knife autographing and drawings for free knife giveaways. On Saturday, expert Bob Dozier will also be present to demonstrate and discuss how to sharpen knives with blades of extremely hard modern cutlery steels.
A pioneer in the knife industry, A. G. Russell is credited with being a major force behind the growth of the handmade knife industry beginning in the mid-1960's when Russell, who was then selling sharpening stones from his kitchen table in War Eagle, convinced then-editor of Gun Digest to begin writing about knives.
