Gary Fadden, president of Al Mar® Knives, is focusing on producing knives from the best designs produced while Al Mar was in charge of his company. The Ultralight series, which Al Mar Knives began producing several years before Al died, made use of a concept that W. C. Davis and I pioneered in the early 1970s; a linerless phenolic resin (Micarta®) handle.

The design is from Oregon knifemaker Bob Lum, but the name is all Benchmade - Bob calls it an All Rounder. The name Dejavoo does seem to better fit the elegance and uniqueness of this knife.
Thirteen years ago Tinus, a teacher of Afrikaans and other subjects at an English School in South Africa, had never seen a handmade knife. His world changed when a friend showed him a knife that the friend had made. Tinus describes it as being rough indeed, but it inspired him to attempt his own. His knives improved for several years, but it was not until Tinus began selling outside South Africa that knifemaking became profitable.

Johnny Cash has been a legend in American Country Music for several decades. In the early years he was truly a rebel with a unique vocal style that set him apart. Cowboy Action Shooting is about romance, not reality. When I was a boy many of the real people these enactors are portraying were still alive and my father introduced me to some of them. A Texas Ranger with two big Bisley Colts kept my eyes bugged and my mouth shut while he and my father talked. It is easy to forget that 100 years ago men dressed in the shield front shirt and stripped pants would go for months between baths while working in heat and dust moving cattle from home range to market.
This is a very slim version of the original Canadian Belt Knife designed in the late 1950's. It has been termed by one of our surgeon customers "handy as a fine scalpel".
