May 10, 2005 This little pair of tweezers played an important role in establishing the "War on Troop Boredom", our program of sending used paperback books and DVDs, a pair of these tweezers, magazines and a knife to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Shortly following our entry into Iraq in 2003, a customer called with the suggestion that we provide these much sought after tweezers. He was a retired soldier and had first hand experience with the convenience of carrying this simple little tool on his Dog Tags. We found the source and from the beginning have been providing them as a part of the package we send.
September 1, 2004 In March of this year we began supporting our troops fighting terrorism in the Middle East. I grew up in a military family, and I know the loneliness that each of our soldiers and their families suffer when overseas. A "care package" from home can go a long way toward boosting morale and to show them they are appreciated.
September 1, 2004 This Damascus Kitchen Knife set is so great that customers who have been searching for a truly superior kitchen set will be absolutely thrilled. We made use of VG-10 stainless steel at 59-61 Rc. blades which are ground so thin that they seem to just melt through whatever you are cutting with no effort at all. Not only will customers be pleased with blades this thin, but will love their ability to hold
an edge, and re-sharpening is a breeze.
September 1, 2004 In February of this year, while in a meeting with Fox Cutlery of Italy, I decided that it was the ideal time to respond to the many requests I had received for a newly designed seaman's knife. A new design would allow the introduction of many innovative features, which I already had in mind, and the opportunity to utilize some of the new technology and materials available today. In short order, I sketched out my ideas explaining each of the important features and detailed the new materials to be used for each one. Thus was the birth of the SeaMaster™.
July 13, 2004 In the hills of northwestern Arkansas resides a man who has had more influence on the modern knife business " both handmade and production knives " than anyone else. A catalyst in the knife boom of the late 1960s and early 1970s, A. G. Russell's influence continues strong today!
July 13, 2004 The design is over 50 years old. I first saw it that long ago as an advertising knife from the Ford Motor Company. With modern technology and materials, we feel that there is a market for these great little knives at reasonable prices. We are so sure of your response that we have applied for registration of the Funny Folder™ name as our trademark for the knife.
January 27, 2004 A. G. Russell™ Knives has recently introduced The Ultimate Pen Knife. This knife is so neat and such a great value that you will want to buy one for friends who don't even like knives, as well as for those who do.
November 10, 2003 A. G. Russell™ Knives recently released the A. G. Russell™ Granddad's Lockback. When asked where he got his inspiration for this knife, A. G. said that one of America's oldest knife companies told him that they had a quantity of handles of an old, old model with no blades. So he designed a blade that would take advantage of the full length of the handle.
December 8, 2003 A. G. Russell Knives, a northwest Arkansas based company, is offering a hand to our troops and all who protect us every day. Being moved by 9-11 and The War on Terror, A. G. Russell Knife Company a year ago decided to do as much as they can for those who are in the front line, both here at home and overseas. For the duration of The War on Terror, that is as long as there are troops in combat or on the verge of combat, they will continue this program.
August 25, 2003 A. G. Russell has recently introduced a new knife, the A. G. Russell™ Yellow Delrin® Folding Hunter. This is a serious knife for the outdoors; ranchers, farmers, hunters, campers and construction workers all need a substantial knife that can be laid down while working and not instantly disappear in the clutter as darker knives often do. The bright yellow of this sturdy handle will show up against any background.
July 28, 2002 This is a one time event. We will never again, in my lifetime, move into a new building and celebrate it with such a grand affair. To commemorate the event we have marked two A. G. Russell knives with A. G. Russell Knives Grand Opening 2002. One is a production folder and the other is one of our handmade Drop Point Hunters with India Stag Handle.
July 15, 2002 On Saturday and Sunday, August 3 and 4, A. G. Russell Knives will hold a Grand Opening Knife Event to celebrate the opening of the new A. G. Russell Knives location. This will be an event unlike any held in this area.
June 20, 2002 At the 2002 Blade Show, A. G. Russell Knives of Lowell, Arkansas received the Imported Knife of the Year award for the A. G. Russell Gentleman's Folder. The knife was designed by A. G. Russell himself and was manufactured by H.P. Klotzli of Switzerland.
