This little pair of tweezers played an important role in establishing the "War on Troop Boredom", our program of sending used paperback books and DVDs, a pair of these tweezers, magazines and a knife to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. Shortly following our entry into Iraq in 2003, a customer called with the suggestion that we provide these much sought after tweezers. He was a retired soldier and had first hand experience with the convenience of carrying this simple little tool on his Dog Tags. We found the source and from the beginning have been providing them as a part of the package we send.
We have not previously offered these in our catalog, but we have had hundreds of requests from customers who want to pay for packages that we would then send to the troops on their behalf. We have not devised a way to accomplish that. But along that same line of thinking, we decided to offer these tweezers to our customers with a little twist. For every pair we sell, we will ship two pair to troops in Iraq or Afghanistan.
