A.G. Russell Knives

Over the past few years, Blue Steel and White Steel from Japan have become fairly popular in the United States. This is partly due to the mystery surrounding just what these Japanese steels are, but it is largely because high carbon tool steels are no longer widely used in knives being produced today. Lots of A. G. Russell™ customers still feel that the non-stainless high carbon blade steels are the best.

This traditional skinner features a 4-1/8" skinning blade of Damascus with a Blue Steel core hardened to about 60 Rc. The hilt is nickel silver and the handle scales are Cocobolo. Measures 8-3/8" overall and weighs 5.2 oz. Includes a leather belt sheath. Made in Japan. The A. G. Russell™ Field Sharpener (AG3750) works very well for a sharpener. To protect the non-stainless blade from corrosion we have included a bottle of RustFree™.
