While most people associate the Ka-Bar name with military knives, they also produce a complete line of leather-handled hunters. This year they have brought back the Leather Handed Hatchet. It features a compressed leather disk handle with finger grooves and polished aluminum butt cap. The 4-1/4" axe head of 3Cr13 stainless steel at 52-54 Rc. has a 2-1/2" cutting edge and a convex grind. Comes complete with a leather sheath. Measures 11" overall and weighs 14.5 oz. Made in Taiwan.
