Once Again Available in ATS-34 and AUS-8!

I wrote those words several years ago, when I introduced my original "One Hand Knife^™". What is really exciting is that in all this time, I have continued to be excited about this basic knife design. In the A. G. Russell^™ FeatherLite^™ One Hand Knife^™ my concept was to develop a high quality knife with the same easy opening and closing mechanism that was inexpensive, lightweight, yet super-strong.

You have never seen a knife made with such simplicity and strength. The handle is fiberglass reinforced nylon, molded into one solid piece. It is checkered and shaped, not only to fit your hand with comfort when working, but to also fit your pocket without wearing holes in it. We make these handles in the U. S. and then ship them to Japan where the blade is made and the knife is assembled. The FeatherLite^™ One Hand Knife^™ is fashioned to be slim enough to carry comfortably in the pocket, while having enough bulk to fill the hand when doing really hard work. This outstanding handle is shaped to guard your forefinger from slipping onto the blade. That same guard covers the sharp corner at the back of the blade and keeps it from wearing through your pockets.

As you look at this knife you will see that it is not at all large, just under 4" closed. Cut through the blade is an oval hole for your thumb, which enables you to flip it open with one hand. This makes the FeatherLite^™ One Hand Knife^™ the easiest to open pocket knife that you have ever seen. The blade and handle combination are engineered to give you the very fastest and surest opening knife you can buy. A little practice lets you open the knife with authority and speed.

We offer this knife in both AUS-8; a high-carbon, stainless cutlery steel hardened to 57-59 Rc., and in ATS-34 hardened to 60-61 Rc. In either steel the blade is hollow ground to give great cutting ability. There are two blade patterns; a traditional Bowie style clip blade and A. G. Russell's own General Purpose blade.
