Randall Made Knives

For over 50 years, Randall knives have been the best known handmade knives in the world. No two Randall Made knives are exactly alike, for no jigs or patterns are used in their final construction. Large scale commercial production with this kind of attention to detail is not feasible and that's why knives of this unique quality are not widely available.

Gary Randall, the present owner, took over from his father, W. D. "Bo" Randall, in the mid 1970's and the shop remains so busy that today it takes over three years to get a knife directly from them. We are one of the few authorized Randall dealers, and try to keep a stock of their knives. If we don't have the knife that you want in stock, we can usually have it for you within 3 to 4 months, because our orders with Randall are booked years in advance. For anyone wanting to order directly from Randall the price will be lower but the wait can take up to 4 years.

Randall Model 3 Hunter with Leather Handle

I believe the Model 3 to be the very first model "Bo" Randall made. It would be hard to recognize today's clean-cut Model 3 as the same knife produced in 1937. This version has a standard leather handle, brass hilt, and a duraluminum butt and is Randall's most popular sporting model.

Randall Model 14 Attack

In the 1950s, Bo Randall designed the Model #14 Attack Military Knife primarily for combat and survival purposes. It has been one of their most popular models.

Randall Model 1

The Randall Model 1 is a long time favorite of Randall owners. Randall has taken that model and added A. G. Russell's own special Golden Maple Burl handle with brass butt and double guard. This model has been used as a hunting knife in camps all over the world, as a camp knife in every circumstance that could be imagined, and as a combat or fighting knife in every war from WWII to the latest adventure of our armed forces.

The Model 1 is offered with an India Stag handle, brass hilt and 7" blade of O-1 tool steel. This is a great knife and has been copied by most handmade knifemakers at some point in their career, and sometimes by knife manufacturers as well.

It would be hard to recognize today's clean-cut Model 3 as the same knife produced in 1937. This version has a standard leather handle, brass hilt, and a duraluminum butt. The Model 3, like the Model 1, is available in several lengths.

Randall Model 25 Trapper and Randall Model 26 Pathfinder

For several years the Randall Model 25 Trapper has been the most in demand of all the Randall knives. The demand is so strong that Randall has limited the quantity they will deliver to their dealers each month.

The Randall Chronicles

Pete Hamilton is recognized in the knife world as "The Randall Man." He was the shop foreman for Randall from 1970 until his retirement in 2000. This book chronicles in color photographs the making of a Randall knife.
