In 1983, Remington Arms Co. issued the second official reproduction of the most popular of all of the original "Bullet" knives of the early 1900s. The "Baby Bullet" was a small version of the Remington "Trapper" which was offered in 1982 and was the first official reproduction. Both of these knives contained an inlay of the then popular .30 Remington cartridge and like the knife of the previous year was a knife collector's icon. One of the original knives in mint condition is now valued in thousands of dollars and the 1983 reproductions are valued in hundreds of dollars.
Remington made many knives to celebrate the 20th anniversary but the finest, most collectible, is the version that was done exclusively for A. G. Russell™Knives, Inc. This is the FINEST Remington Baby Bullet EVER made. Vintage Bone scales, 154CM at 59-61 Rc. and limited to 500 serial numbered pieces. The blades and "bullet" shield are coated with GOLD Titanium Oxide. This 3-1/2" closed slip joint folder has both a skinning blade and a long spey blade, the first marked "Remington" and the second "Remington Trapper 1983-2003".
