The Byrd Finch is very similar in size to the popular Ladybug, the Finch is designed to yield the maximum in cutting performance in the smallest possible package. The size makes it the perfect keychain knife, but it is a serious working tool.
The Tenacious is the first main line Spyderco® to be made in China. The quality is similar to Japanese or American produced Spyderco® knives and the price is much lower.

In 2005, Spyderco® launched their Kopa series which has been made up of approximately three knives per year with exceptionally unique handle variations. This version has a multi piece inlay of white Mother-of-Pearl with contrasting and colorful abalone stripes. Very striking.

From the Manufacturer:
This model is in recognition of knifemaker Michael Walker's contribution to the knife industry with his creation of the LinerLock® and ball bearing detent method of locking open a folding knife.
Limited to 600 pieces of each handle material, Spyderco's® ongoing Kopa Series launched in 2005 continues to grow. The Kopa Series introduced Spyderco's first collection of refined gentlemen's folders. The completed series will be made up of exceptionally unique handle variations of the same model knife.
The unusual look and style of this knife will draw your attention again and again. The designer, Jason Breeden, says "My designs are born from need I've experienced. I live in the Appalachian Mountains and am regularly outdoors or in water. A recurve blade has cutting advantages in water but I also wanted a strong tip for outdoor applications." Spyderco included a Round Hole resulting in the Spyderco/Jason Breeden Captain.
"Pikal" is a word that comes from the Visayan dialect in the Phillipines and means "to rip". It is a martial arts genre accomplished by holding the knife in reverse grip with the sharpened edge facing inward toward the user. The P'Kal knife is a collaboration with Shivworks designed with this in mind.
This may be Spyderco's smallest folder, but what it lacks in size it makes up for with style and usability. It is a workhorse of a knife featuring an all stainless steel handle with an etched design to improve grip, a Spyderco round hole for ambidextrous opening, and a right hand tip-down clip. This knife can do just about anything you ask of it, from close in detail work, opening mail or just cleaning fingernails.
The knife may be man's oldest tool but today it is governed by different carry restrictions in nearly every country in the world. This is particularly true regarding pocketknives in the United Kingdom where legal guidelines govern the size and function of all pocketknives carried in public. One of these parameters is that folding knives not have blades that lock open.
What the folders lack in size, they make up with their design and usefulness. Both the Dragonfly and the Cricket feature an all stainless steel handle with an etched design to improve grip, a David Boye Dent, a Spyderco round hole for ambidextrous opening, and a right hand tip-up clip.

Very similar in style to the very popular Spyderco "Q" from the late 90's, the "S" blade is made using MIM technology, the latest in metal injection molded blade construction. The blade features a web cutout radiating from the patented round hole for one-hand opening.
The Caly3 was exclusive to Spyderco's UK distributor for the first year. In that time it built a strong demand in this country.
Spyderco's® Ladybug 3 is a new version of a model that has been around nearly as long as the company itself. The size makes it a perfect key chain knife, but unlike most, it is a serious working tool.

The Spyderco Tool Harp has eight functional tools which rotate out individually from an outer ring and snap open, ready for use. Includes a slotted-head and Phillips-head screwdriver, punch/awl, gimlet, saw, corkscrew, file and small/large-head hammer that doubles as a bottle opener.
In 2002, Spyderco® created an exciting little knife that blends the traditional Spyderco® with the traditional lockback folder. The bolsters and caps, the liners and the mid-lock are traditional folder. The blade shape, the handle shape and the hole in the blade are traditional Spyderco®.
You may recognize the name of the designer, or the short stubby blade in Spyderco's Lava. Chad Los Baños is beginning to be recognized as a designer of small unique knives. Remember the Böker® Sub Com. I called it Böker's sturdy little knife.
A favorite with just about everyone. They have stainless steel handle with a pocket clip.
The knife and diving world has searched for years for a steel with high-performance cutting abilities that cannot rust. A Japanese steel foundry recently introduced H1, a steel that fits those specifications. H1 is a PH steel, meaning it is a precipitation-processed alloy, that's rolled hard without heat-treating and has .1% nitrogen which acts like carbon, but does not react to chlorine to make rust. Surprisingly, it holds a sharpened cutting edge comparable to the premium knife steels being used in the industry today.

John D'Allara, a long-time Spyderco collector who used and owned nearly every model Spyderco made, was one of the many fallen hero's who went into Trade Center Tower 1 on Sept. 11, and did not come out. When the release date for this new rescue knife came near, Spyderco thought it only fitting that it be named in his honor.

Spyderco tells us that the Poliwog CLIPIT's open-end Ball Bearing Lock is one of the strongest of all of their locking mechanisms. This is from a company who is known for their attention to the strength and functionality of their knives. Pulling back on the ball unlocks the blade from either side.
I have always admired the triangular rods of Sal's Sharpmaker but did not like the wide angle he used. I see that he now incorporates the 30° angle that I like so well as his basic angle and still includes the 40° angle that used for the edge on thicker blades or to add a micro-bevel to a properly sharpened edge.

Spyderco® calls the SPIN a runt. Like many so called runts this one is a pretty tough cookie! Designed by Eric Glesser, who is an important part of the Spyderco engineering and design team, to be the smallest possible folder with the largest possible cutting edge. It is obvious that Eric has learned much from his father (Sal Glesser, founder of Spyderco), but it is equally obvious that he brings his own interpretation to knife design.
